A 100% Chardonnay-based Champers with fruit harvested by hand from 9 different sites, aged in new and neutral oak barrels for 12 to 24 months. The wine rested in bottle for secondary fermentation for 1 to 5 years prior to disgorgement. Mineral driven, with just a little bit of dried fruit, Les Vignes de Montgueux Blanc de Blancs Brut NV is the ultimate indulgence - and a great value to boot!
- Emmanuel Lassaigne, Jacques Lassaigne’s son, started working the vines in 1999 and began to make wines from individual parcels, despite pushback from the naysayers.
- Initial tank and barrel fermentations of all his wines only happen with indigenous yeast, and minimal sulfur is introduced to prevent oxidation.
- Jacques Lassaigne’s 4.7 hectare vineyard is located in Montgueux within the Champagne AOC.
- His terroir has a limestone vein, perfect for making great Champagnes!
