This ancient style of winemaking is argued to be the original American wine. A sweet fortified wine produced for sacramental purposes by Spanish missionaries who brought the “Mission” grape to this country in the early 1800s. This 70 case production is 80% Mission from the Somers vineyard and 20% Flame Tokay from the Old School vineyard. It is reminiscent of a fine tawny port, it shows complex notes of figs, coffee liquor, and raisin and ends with a long rich finish of toffee and caramel. 500ml
