60ish year old Pinot Noir from Maranges, sourced from Pierre's first vineyard purchase back in 2002. Fermented whole cluster in neutral oak, then aged sur lie in neutral oak. No fining, filtration or additional sulfur added.
- Maison en Belles Lies is helmed by Pierre Fenals, who had a lifelong dream of becoming a winemaker. After a career in fashion, he decided to move to Burgundy and become a vigneron.
- He was introduced to biodynamics after purchasing one of Rudolph Steiner’s books on biodynamics at a Parisian flea market.
- The name Maison En Belles Lies derives from a practice developed by 17th century monks who would dry their barrels and rub them with lees from the vintage.
