Graceful elegance from Chablis.
Terroirs de Béru is composed of 100% organically farmed Chardonnay from 35-40 year old vines planted on Chablis’ famous Kimmeridgian limestone soil. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and underwent malolactic fermentation to soften its harsher edges and green apple aromas. After, Terroirs de Beru rested for a 12 to 18 month period in stainless steel to keep it bright and lifted.
- Château de Béru has been in possession of the Béru family for over 400 years.
- During the phylloxera crisis in the late 1800s, all the vines for this estate were uprooted, and it wouldn’t be until nearly a century later when Éric de Béru decided to replant the entire vineyard.
- The domain is presently being run by his wife, Laurence and daughter Athénaïs.
- The property has been converted to Organic viticulture and is practicing Biodynamic viticulture.
