Château Haut-Meneau has been a family property for several generations and is located in the heart of the village of Saint Paul. A former stop on the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, the 20-hectare estate is concentrated on a south-facing clay-limestone hilltop with a pretty chartreuse (country home) in its center.
Produced on the highest plot of the mound. Its yield is 30 hectolitres per hectare. This cuvée is macerated for up to 5 weeks and kept in barrels for at least 12 months. It is the flagship of the property. It is characterized by notes of roasting and undergrowth. This is an ageworthy wine, with expressive charm at release.
